Hiya all.

Been a loooong time since I uploaded anything, and this will be my first for The Sims 3. It will also be in an area I have never done well in: Clothing. Infact I think I have only ever uploaded, or at least made to an acceptable standard, two items and they were both for TS2.

So I started with something simple, after practicing on about two dozen other outfits. I made some very minor changes to the mesh on this one which is why I have included it in the package, although in hindsight I probably could have got away with just the texture work.

Anyway, enough twaddle, I've taken the Island Paradise "Local Tropics" skirt and removed that horrible "un-ironed crépe" look and instead textured some tight pleats instead. Specular is matt and the normal/bump hase been changed to emphasise the effect. I've also changed the mask so it has a tie dye blend between the 4 channels, instead of an artificially crisp and unrealistic block change. This allows the colours to blend into each other in a tie dye effect but if you decide to have a single colour skirt the effect isn't noticeable. I've kept the original stencils intact so the skirt can be patterned with or without them.

If all goes well with this I have a few other things to tidy up and upload.

Thanks to everyone involved in taking the time to unpick the game and create all these different tools that allow the creation process and those who take the time to write the tutorials and answer questions etc etc.

I've been a member of this site a long time and it's great to see it going from strength to strength, looking forward to seeing what #4 has to offer.

NOTE: The image that shows the colour pallete options, the last two arrows are in the wrong order, they should be reversed.
