Here are two new end tables that I think go very well with my brass beds.
Could you please test them for me?
The iron end table was cloned from the “Gliteri & Co. Trieste End Table” and I linked its glass top to the original. In this way, all the recolours (original or custom-made) for the original table’s glass top will be available for the new iron end table. The new table’s structure is colour enabled.
The other end table is also recolourable. I modelled it from a picture I found on the Internet:
http://www.american-furniture-wareh...ight-stand.html
The 2 tables were made with SimPE 0.33, so they should be EP compatible. Moreover, the tables use new GUIDS, so they should not cause any conflict with other objects in your game.
Please report here any problem you find.
Thank you!
5 Apr 05 - Havelock reported in another thread that the reclours for the end tables were not showing in the game. I discovered that that was the result of a procedure I had applied to them so they would cast outdoor shadows. You can find more about this outdoor shadows problem and its solution, found by Numenor, here:
http://ambertation.de/simpeforum/viewtopic.php?t=437
I was not aware of this problem with the recolours because all the recolours I had made before applying the previous procedure were showing fine.
I just solved the problem (I think) and already reported to Numenor my findings.
Hope the recolours are working ok now.
I included in the zip file for the iron table a recolour I just made to test it.
15 Apr 05 - I’ve just updated both tables with versions with reduced poly sizes. Thanks, thefuzmixman, for your advice.
27 Apr 05 - Finally, I solved my problem with MilkShape registration! With it I was able to make versions of the tables that use much less polygons. New versions sizes:
Iron table:
Vertices: 1051
Polygons: 1506
Wood/brass able:
Vertices: 3650
Polygons: 5288
For your reference, the poly count for the Maxis “Curvaceous Colonial End Table” is:
Vertices: 1147
Polygons: 1368
Important note: In order to obtain the best optimization possible I completely remade some parts of the meshes. So, I had to remap the UV coordinates. If you made recolours for any of the end tables please check them to ensure they conform to the new UV maps.

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.
