My quest to recreate the YuGiOh characters as Sims continues!
One of the more mystical elements of YuGiOh is the glowing "Eye of Anubis" which appears on the foreheads of various characters in association with the magic of the Millennium Items.
Most noteably, the eye appears on Yami Yugi, Yami Marik and any character Marik is personally controlling with his Millennium Rod.
As the design evolves throughout the anime and I can also imagine more generic uses for this item in creating magical Sims, I have included 3 versions of the eye, so you have more choices.
3 Versions:
The
"Flat Shine" version has
1 recolorable channel and
3 pattern presets: 18K Yellow Gold, White Gold and Green Gold.
The
"3D Shine - Auras" version has
2 recolorable channels and
8 pattern presets with gradients of color based on the chakras: Rainbow, Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red.
The
"3D Shine - Metals" version has
2 recolorable channels and
12 pattern presets color-matched to precious metals, fantasy metals and others historically used in the making of jewelry: a Mix, Rose Gold, 18K Yellow Gold, 14K Yellow Gold, White Gold, Sterling Silver, Green Gold, Cobalt Blue, Orichalcum, Copper, Bronze and Brass.
You should only need the
Base Game for this content to work.
The eye appears in CAS like any other accessory.
To resolve a conflict that comes up when you try to use the eye in combination with eyeliner and CC eyelashes, I have put it in both
Glasses and Ring accessory categories. Because of this, each version should appear twice under accessories, the Glasses part listed first and the Ring part listed further down.
The eye works for
male and female sims of
all ages.
Since the facial structures of each age group and gender are slightly different, I've sized and positioned the eye to present correctly on each.
The eye does not deform with sliders and hovers just far enough away from the forehead so that facial sliders do not cause clipping with the skin beneath. The eye also sits comfortably beneath the bangs of most hairstyles.
Within the
zip file download, you will find only one package file for each design version--Flat Shine, 3D Shine Auras and 3D Shine Metals. This is because I have merged together and condensed variations for pu glasses, pu ring, cu glasses, cu ring, af glasses, af ring, am glasses and am ring.
I have optimized the poly count to fit within the range of other items in the Glasses category so the eye should not slow down your game.
Level of Detail (LOD) Counts:
High:
250 vertices
304 triangles
Medium:
186 vertices
224 triangles
Low:
126 vertices
152 triangles
Additional detail is added to the 3D Shine versions with a normal map.
And finally, yes! They really do
glow in the dark!
Please do not upload my work on another site. I would like some credit for all the hard work I put in. This is for all the other YuGiOh fans out there. Enjoy!

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.
