2025-12-03: Updated the mod to now use the Lot51 Core library injection, so now all the new options are just in the Traits panel, so make sure you still keep the Human trait for any roles you don't intend to have spawns for animal species.
2025-10-03: Fixed horses not eating, now I included a new Human trait in the Occult requirements so you dont have to manually assign sims to avoid having animals bombard your roles, just make sure you put it in (it stacks with other occult requirements as Species is not Occult) I recommend also adding an age requirement just incase you dont get the babies, and finally added the animal/infants/toddler traits into the Trait panel. Also added Servos to the occult list, lol. Hopefully this whole thing gets fixed by Maxis, cause I'm losing hope.

ABOUT
What is the point of selling another system tackling the customizable venues, only to erase half the species/age groups you can pick from? I'm not interested in pretend play of fake schools, give me everything that functions.
Anyways, whilst you cannot pick sims in Manage Worlds mode in custom venues, I unlocked the requirement to have to meet sims to assign them to roles when you VISIT a custom venue. Now you can pick any sims existing in your save file into your Custom Roles.
Which allows you to pick Horses, Dogs, Cats, Infants, Toddlers! Now I can make use of the weirdly enabled "Horses play and learn" tasks that make no sense by default.
To assign household sims, you have to play as another household! I don't know why Maxis did this entire system the way they did, but oh well.
Fun fact, you can even play households that have the roles assigned in custom venues, as the system is smart enough to keep track of their assigned roles.
NOTES/POTENTIAL ISSUES
What I did was add in other species (cats, dogs, horses) into the default filter, which means, any custom venue lot might potentially spawn these into unintended roles. I recommend setting up role criteria in a way that wouldn't be possible for animals to get into (non occult isn't enough), probably try requiring a trait of some kind only humans have.
I also had to edit some interactions for horse autonomy as it seems the sleeping/eating stuff completely wasn't touched right to account for these lots. No idea what's going on there, but hopefully the changes I made are enough.
If anything, I'm sure there's lot trait mods that will allow better spawning of these species. I know what I'm doing, just wanted to share incase there's others who wanted more options even if it's somewhat of a hassle to use to prevent issues.
