The reception is going great. The guests are enjoying themselves. The cider is fresh and the food is delicious. Sno and Charming make their way around to the guests. They thank them for coming, and graciously accept the well wishes bestowed upon them.
Sno and Charming make their way back to the reception hall as the musicians begin to play the next song.
The King watches in admiration as Sno and Charming dance together.
"She's so beautiful." the King says quietly to his Queen. Regina, who sits beside him. She nods her head and rolls her eyes.
As the musicians begin another song, the King stands. He then approaches Charming and bows to Sno, "May I have the next dance?" he asks with a smile.
Sno nods, and Charming places her hand in her Father's hand. Charming takes leave and joins his parents in the dining room for some refreshments.
The King wipes away a tear, "Dearest Sno, I cannot even put into words how happy you have made me today. To see you now, a married woman. I am overjoyed."
Sno bites her lip to bide the tears that have welled up in her eyes. "Father. You've made me so happy. I want you to know this isn't goodbye. We will visit as often as we can." she promises, pulling him into a hug as the song ends.
The King kisses Sno's cheek and returns to his throne, happy tears running along his cheeks.
Charming returns to Sno's side and takes her hand, "Dance with me my love?" he asks a huge smile on his face.
Sno laughs and pulls him to her in an affectionate kiss as the music swells.
As the newlyweds spend much of their time dancing and sharing deep kisses. Sno begins to worry about how to tell Charming of her father’s request. She knows it must be done soon. The party is almost over
"Charming, we need to talk.." she says taking his hand and leading him into the main stairwell.
"Sweetheart, we will have plenty of time for .."
But Sno cuts him off.
Charming, my father wants us to leave tonight.” Charming raises his eyebrows, but Sno continues. “He has also asked that we take Selena. He wants us to raise her…as our own.” she says, distress evident in her voice.
“Surely you heard wrong? Why would your Father bid us to take his other child from him?” Charming replies.
Sno hangs her head.
“He fears for her too! He thinks if she stays, Regina will corrupt her, or she will be harmed.” she says, quietly but with urgency.
Suddenly, an ear-piercing scream echoes throughout the castle. They look to one another before dashing back to the reception downstairs.
Sno stands frozen with grief by what she sees.
There, in the center of the hall, is Sno’s Father. He’s lying on the floor as if dead. Sno shakes off the sense of dread enveloping her and approaches him with tears in her eyes.
“What has happened here?” she demands.
Regina speaks up, “He and I were dancing. He was laughing and then he fell…” she says looking down.
Though the scream is still echoing in Sno’s head, it seems the other guests have not noticed that their King has fallen. They still gorge themselves in food and drink. Sno pulls her Father into her lap, but he is not breathing.
“This cannot be happening.” she says in shock. “Father?” she asks, trying to wake him. He remains motionless.
Sno stands, tears streaming from her eyes.
"The King of Eleabth, Leonardo Daynes. is dead..." Sno chokes.
What was such a happy and exciting day has turned bitter and sad. Sno looks around the reception hall at her happy guests, blissfully unaware of what has just happened; her Father was a fair and kind ruler, known far and wide. This will surely break their hearts when they realize.
"I can't believe he's gone..." Sno whispers to herself. Charming rushes to hold her. He squeezes her tight as her body is wracked with sobs over her loss.

The last guest gives Sno a hug as they leave the castle, Sno fakes a quick smile and wipes away another tear. There were still so many more memories she had looked forward to making with her Father. So much more she still wanted to share with him.
She shakes her head to herself before heading back into the castle, toward the kitchen. Marian and Esther are too in the kitchen. They seem completely lost in their own sorrow. Sno isn’t sure where Regina is, nor does she really care
"Charming, we must honor Father's wishes." she says another tear streaking down her face.
Charming nods.
“My love, we will depart after we’ve had our chance to say goodbye to your Father.” he replies, taking her once more into his arms.
