It’s been some years since Regina’s visit, and in that time, it’s revealed Sno is with child. The birth is drawing near, and with each passing day, Sno becomes more and more excited.
Today, they sit on their thrones as loyal subjects present them with gifts for the baby.
One subject carves and presents a crib. Another has woven together a brand-new baby blanket with lavender dyed thread, in honor of their kingdom. There are countless others who also present gifts as well. Since their previous rulers had no children, and thus lost the throne, the people are ecstatic to learn the throne will have a true successor. They are joyously standing in wait to present their gifts to the King and Queen.
Charming and Sno have been forthcoming about the ancestry of Selena so as not to mislead their people. The people know that one day, Selena will go back to Aciemma to rule that nation, they know she will not be their Queen; so to hear of the pregnancy gives them great joy.
…
Then one rainy night in Fall, it’s time.
“Charming!” Sno calls from her bedchamber. “Esther!” She calls louder.
Sno had been taking a nap and is awoken by her contractions. Esther and Charming both come rushing into the room. Esther smiles and wipes the sweat from Sno’s brow with a cool cloth. Having helped her mother deliver Sno when she was born and having delivered Selena, Esther is confident in her abilities to bring this new child into the world.
Some time goes by and Charming is getting more and more excited with each contraction, however, Esther reminds him, it isn’t customary for the father to be in the room when the baby is born, and he leaves her to assist.
After several more hours of pain, a precious baby girl is born. Although Charming is asked to remain outside, he simply cannot help himself and rushes to Sno’s side as soon as he hears the baby cry.
“She’s so beautiful.” he says kissing Sno’s forehead.
“Congratulations on your Daughter Highness.” Esther says bowing her head before leaving the room.
Sno stands and looks at the child, a mass of chestnut brown her, her father’s face, and the most beautiful blue eyes she’s ever seen. “She is Anastacia.” She says reverently.
Sno hands Anastacia to Charming, who struggles to hold her at first, but quickly gets the hang of it. He holds her against his chest and feels her soft skin.
“She’s absolutely perfect Sno.” he says kissing Sno’s lips.
