The gray stone mansion stands on the shores of the sea, silent and watchful. It has seen the births of many of the Fitzalan clan, and the deaths, or disappearances, of many-- Fitzalan by blood and marriage both. For nearly three hundred years, it has been so.

Gentle, modest, and meek, a young daughter of the Fitzalans disappeared while walking on the beach one autumn day. Her distraught family searched both on land and water for weeks, to no avail. More than one visitor to Cryptomeria Hall swears to have seen her walking along the waterline, in the hour between dusk and dark.

During the Yuletide Ball, Lady Annelise was found in the music room, unconscious on the floor. When she was revived, she fled the house in hysterics, and refused to leave the rectory (where she had taken refuge), or explain the cause of her distress. She and the then-lord of Cryptomeria, William Fitzalan, had been wed three months earlier. When Sir William attempted to force her to return, she promptly insisted on a divorce, and afterwards left the country for Italy, never to return to her native land.

Married and widowed twice before the age of thirty-eight, Sir Charles was killed in a hunting accident before the age of thirty-nine. It is rumoured that he left behind a daughter, heir to the Fitzalan millions, raised far from the dark halls of Cryptomeria....

Fully furnished and partly decorated, Cryptomeria Hall is meant as a sort of tribute to gothic novels-- the ones with covers depicting beautiful young women in the foreground, and dark, ominous houses in the background. The Hall is of pseudo-Victorian construction, and is a beach lot, perfect for walking on at midnight in a storm! I didn't leave room for a driveway, but it wouldn't be impossible to remodel the music room into one (or into a pool area, or anything else, for that matter). There's also a secret passage, leading from the ground floor all the way to the top.

No CC is used, but I have all the noted expansions, and have used some of the lighting from Kitchen & Bath. In my in-game CC version, I've made extensive use of Adele's sets (her honey-colored stucco looks amazing in the kitchen!), and of Parsimonious' walls and floors, etc. For a more period look, Parsimonious also has a old-fashioned-looking smoke alarm and wall phone.

The Hall has a ground floor, a second floor, and a top floor, broken down like this:

Ground floor: Public rooms.
Middle: Entry; stairs to the second floor; exit to ground floor balcony.
Right front: Cloakroom, dining room.
Right back: Bathroom, kitchen.
Left front: Music room.
Left back: Library, with bathroom-- and secret entry!

Second floor: Bedrooms.
Entryway: Leading to the bedrooms, the rear balcony, and stairs to the top floor.
Bedroom, right: Master bedroom, with bath and an exit to the front balcony.
Bedroom, middle: Currently designed for a young woman, with bath.
Bedroom, left: Guest or governess' bedroom, with a secret entry!
Left front: The Secret Room, accessible from the guest bedroom and the library.

Top floor: Servants' rooms.
Two tiny bathrooms, and a handful of equally tiny bedrooms... including one with a secret exit to the tower.

Final floor:
This is actually only accessible if you add in Marvine's ladder or Targa's ascension circle. There's a secret treasure to be found by an enterprising heroine.
