X-Men Pack 2


*Read this here: Every time I go to upload something it seems things have been upgraded from the last time. That shows I should upload more often but, see below. I originally submitted these as Maxis recolor (base game undies), with 1 custom mesh which I linked to in related links. Well thats what I get for uploading at 2am. Then because I didn't tick the custom mesh box (I figure that's what happened) I couldn't see the custom mesh required box and just go, oh snap, now what. But after I went back a few times it showed up. But just in case: READ THIS Nightcrawler's shoulders REQUIRES A CUSTOM MESH by Generalzoi Costume Accessory Pack , Wolverines shoulder pads. Now this is only required if you want the shoulder pads sticking out.

Hey all!
I’m back again with some more X-Men. Many of you might have been wondering what happened to me because I haven’t uploaded anything in so long. For a long time, and I mean A LONG TIME, I was working on these X-Men, Gambit and Storm in particular.

Gambit is my favorite X-Man hands down and I wanted to get his costume as perfect as I could. So what would happen is I would make an outfit, trash it, start over, and the circle would start again. I will tell you his boots were the most frustrating. I swear getting feet to match up with a leg is horrible, especially with how his boots are designed. That alone took me days because I am an insane perfectionist.

Storm was another thing. Her costume color, silvery white, does not look good in game. My original concept for her not only blinded me but I’m sure it blinded the other X-Sims ;-). I believe I got her current color pretty close to her 90’s costume without causing eyestrain.

Nightcrawler was pretty straightforward, and I honestly did enjoy making his costume. Also Rachael as a Hound and Dazzler were fun as well.

Emma on the other hand…just like in the comics was a pain. Her corset was an alignment nightmare.

All and all I am satisfied with the turnout, and think it was a good experience for me. A lot of hand painting was involved which is something I don’t do often enough, even though I enjoy it. Anyway down to the nitty gritty:

*Screenshot note: I started out taking screenshots of them in daytime winter, then when I hit unpause it turned to spring….so some of the color is slightly different but it doesn’t change much. I’m very tired and colleged out so give me a break .

Gambit:
I didn’t show Gambit with his duster because it’s not included. I wanted to do stripped down screenshots, but for my game play I use generalzoi’s trench coat (Link below under related links) . Also I did a red version of his suit. I think it looks really cool in red. Also I created a pair of eyes for him, included.

Nightcrawler:
In this I created a skin and eyeset for Kurt but in the end decided to include only the eyes. For the skinset I created a recolor of generalzoi forked tail, hence why it’s in the screenshot. Like I said only the eyes are included. I plan on someday making Mystique so chances are Ill include the skin with her. *shrugs* Also included is a recolor for generalzoi’s shoulder cuffs (click that). If you don't want the sticking out shoulders then you don't have to. It's not a requirement and the file is marked so you can remove it if you wish. Link for the mesh is also under related links.

Storm:
The lovely Ororo . Her hand trim gave me hell but overall I like how her outfit turned out. I would have loved to have done her cape but I can’t mesh to save my life.

Emma Frost/White Queen:
Risqué Emma, by request from my last thread. Again I would have loved to do her cape. I would be ware the skin you use with her. We know her outfit back then was revealing but depending on the artist it got ever increasingly revealing. The skins I use there was no “pop out” (honestly the things she wears I'm surprised she doesn’t), so watch for that.

Dazzler:
I always thought the colors of this outfit were odd but I despised her 70’s outfit. Sorry guys I do lol.

Hound Rachael:
The “studs” were fun to do on this outfit. ; ).

Everything aside from the shoulder pads are recolored base game Maxis undies.
