Cute family cottage - move in TODAY! (UPDATED)

Apparently, some people have been experiencing trouble with this house, with the file being invalid or some such thing. I have re-uploaded the file. I'm not sure if this will fix the problem but it was the only thing I could think of. I have the base game, High End Loft Stuff and Ambitions, but not World Adventures, so maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe you can't have W.A. to play this house. Who knows? I hope that's not the case.

So, I planned this lot to be my entry in the most recent contest.....but by the time I finished it, the entry post had been closed I was supremely sad that was not able to enter this house in the contest, because I went though an awful lot of trouble to make it. It took two attempts: the first was marred about 45 minutes in when my computer crashed - epic fail. I shut down and took a break for a few hours, contemplating electronic homicide (my computer is just barely fast enough to play The Sims 3 at all. It's time for it to die) and after deciding that no, I did not really feel like playing World of Warcraft instead, I gave the house another go.
Four hours later, I present you players with....THIS!

This house has a little bit of that country feel, mixed in with a more contemporary style. It's the perfect size for a young couple, an old retired pair (with grandkids, perhaps) or a small family, 4 sims most. Think of your grandma's cozy little cottage, only newly remodeled with the latest in appliances and furnishings.
The front door opens into the kitchen, which was freshly redone not long ago. New counters, cupboards and appliances give it a warmer, more inviting feel. The kitchen flows openly into the living room, sparsely decorated to give you, the player, the freedom to add more as you wish. From there we enter the mast bedroom, designed with the country-girl in mind. She'll certain love the private master garden off the deck, closed off from the rest of the yard by a lovely arrangement of shrubs, bushes, flowers, and a small pond.
Across from the stairs we enter the dining room, with a table ready for a family of four, and a small nook off to the side perfect for reading. And also for the housewife in all of us, a laundry room complete with a washer, a dryer, and plenty of counter space. The deck off the dining room gives a great view of the yard, with access to the garage via a short, well-trodden path.
Upstairs we have whatever your imagination desires - could it be a craft room (as decorated), or perhaps a bedroom for the newest addition to the family? Maybe a kidlet or two to put the swing set out back to good use?
