Frank Lloyd Wright's "Fallingwater"

It’s been called the Building of the 20th Century by the American Institute of Architects almost 70 years after it's completion. Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Fallingwater” home, built for Edgar Kaufmann Sr., is the architects inspiration of “living with nature”. After seeing the site Wright informed Kaufmann of his proposed idea, that the house be built over the waterfalls. You wouldn't be able to see them. But, one could hear them. Wright’s intent was that from the sound one would "live" with the water rather than look at the falls from time to time.

The painted red window trim represents the iron ore the steel was created from and the use of so many windows and expansive balconies allowed nature to be seen as all around. To further the "living with nature" theme, Wright integrated boulders found on site and upon which the house was built to link the outside with the in as with the fire hearth and the back staff room of the main house. The theme is also apparent with the enclosed stairway in the main living area that allows access to the steam below.


I tried to stay true to the original plans, but some liberties and short cuts were taken: an actual pool instead of the 1 foot plunge pool at the main house, stealth stairs in a few instances as full length stairs would not fit, no bathroom in the basement...most other liberties relate to build solutions to work around the game's build limitations. The flat driveway sections are all useable for any Sim car(s). As with left side driveways the animation will simply morph the sim to the street and disappear.

NOTES:
- You will need to install the modular stairs txt code with croccbaura's Open Underneath Country Stairs for the stairs to show up and work properly.
- Nengi65 is in the process of moving her creations from SimsCrossing to her new blog site so some items (Slender Birch Trees) may not be uploaded yet. Please let me know and I will add them here.
- The size of this lot and the objects/builds on it may slow normal game play unless you have a fast computer with an up to date graphics card.
