Maxis Modular Stairs Recolored, Part the Fourth
But thankfully, two far-more-awesome-than-me people have made a selection of the Maxis modular stairs recolorable. So, I recolored my little heart out. And now I offer the results for download, each stair in the same 20-color palette that I created for the floors, so that they do the whole matchy-match thing that makes me a very happy little obsessive person. I'm uploading each stair I've recolored separately, mainly because a lot of pics are involved here and putting all of the stairs I recolored into one large download got a little...Well, large.

So, Stair #4 of the ones I recolored is the Euro Stairs, which HugeLunatic made recolorable by working magic that overrides Maxis's code. So, you don't need scripts to make these recolors work, but you WILL need HugeLunatic's override for this stair, which you can get in the set here. You will also need the Open For Business expansion pack, since these stairs came with that pack.
This stair was another one that I never used because although I liked the style well enough, the original colors were...stupid. I might have used the white one...were it not for the turquoise bits. Yeah, that was brilliant. And I might have used the red or the blue except that they didn't match anything. I think these look better in the wood colors, and I sometimes even find them useful.
With this one, I had to decide what to do about the contrasting bits. I messed around with various ideas and various contrasting colors, but I ended up not liking anything that I tried. So, the contrasting bits (i.e. the parts that are turquoise in Maxis's original) are just the overall color darkened down a few steps.
Compared with some of the other stairs I've done, this one has a relative lack of wood grain. So I think that of the five Maxis floors I recolored, this one actually looks best with the Walk the Plank floor, which has the least grain of the floors that I recolored. But since I used that one in the pics of one of the other stairs, I went with the Oaken Flooring in this one to show the color match.
Here be the pics, all 20 colors:

If you've never used this kind of recolorable stair before, be aware that they don't work like "normal" recolors. You place a run of the regular Euro Stairs in the white-and-turquoise color first (The override doesn't make the red or blue versions recolorable), put up railings if you want them, and then afterwards you use the design tool to select and recolor each step with its attached rail individually. Unfortunately, the recolor names aren't labeled and you might not be able to tell easily which color is which just by looking at the little thumbnails. But with a little trial and error, it really isn't too hard to figure out which stair goes with which floor.
The packages within the RAR file are all compressed to be as kind to your Downloads folder as possible. The files are also clearly named so that you can easily discard the colors you don't like or won't use.
I hope that you might find these useful!
This custom content if it is not clothing, may require a seperate download to work properly. This is available at Colour Enable Package (CEP) by Numenor.
