This mod enables Sims to pass directly through under all Maxis modular stairs, just like base game Holy Smoke stairs.

Even without this mod, most objects are usable when you force them under the modular stairs with moveobjects cheat on. But there are some exceptions like bookcases. Without this mod, Sims will complain route blockage when they're trying to reach bookcases placed under the modular stairs.

With this mod installed, you can place 1-tiled objects on the "bridge" tile (the one where Sims walk through) without moveobjects cheat on. (See the screenshot below.) Sims can freely use objects placed on the "bridge" tile. Especially useful for bookcases.


Existing modular stairs need to be deleted and replaced to pick up the change.
Only for modular stairs. Will not work on staircases.

Choose only one version, depending on your preference.
  • LdDarcy_StairModularPassageFix_All: For all Maxis modular stairs, even the ones with supports under the stairs.
  • LdDarcy_StairModularPassageFix_NoSupportsOnly: Only for 3 Atomic modular stairs from Pets, which have no supports under the stairs.
To fix the custom modular stairs in the same way, extract one of "CT - No Supports?" BHAVs from this mod, add it to your custom modular stairs, and change the group to 0xFFFFFFFF.


Installation:

Place in your My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads folder.
(Or in a subfolder of Downloads folder.)
