Simbot Charging Station - BotCharger v7!
THIS MOD IS A "REMIX":
First, I must thank HystericalParoxysm, as a moderator, for allowing me to reupload DarkBlue's creation (Simbot Charging Station, essentially a Sarcophagus object remeshed, found here: http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=487118)
And also, DarkBlue's mesh is wonderful, too. Without it, this mod wouldn't exist at all.
And now, onto the different parts of the actual mod....
FUNCTIONS:
- This mod provides you a custom, individual object called "BotCharger v7.2.0.00.12" in your Buy Mode, under Beds. It has the same polygon counts and CASt channels as the original object. The BotCharger can be bought for 2888 simoleons.
- When the object is being clicked on, you will find that all the original interactions of Sarcophagus are removed. Custom interactions are implemented instead. Documentation is found below:
a. Recharge: only Sims that are Robots (EP11Bot / Simbot) can use the object. If the BotCharger is broken, or in upgrade, it can't be used as well. The more the BotCharger is used, the more likely it is for it to break. When it functions properly, Robots waking full of energy from it will receive a 12h +10 "Energized" moodlet. However, if it breaks, the Robot will not only lose the "Energized" moodlet, but also receive a 4h -50 "Short Out" moodlet. However, this won't cause Simbots to actually go into the "Short Out" state.
b. Perform System Reset: in case the BotCharger becomes broken from "Recharge", this interaction will be available. Sims will route the a given radial range of the BotCharger, perform some animations, and then the BotCharger automatically starts resetting. This takes 16 hours. When the timer finishes, the BotCharger is fixed.
c. Upgrade: Unbreakable BotCharger: Sims need to have 6pt Future / 8pt Handiness / 8pt Inventing to do so. Additionally, the BotCharger must not be broken, in upgrade, in use, or unbreakable (what's the point of making it unbreakable again and again? ) Sims will perform the same animations as "Perform System Reset, and similarly, activate a timer of 20 hours. When it runs out, the upgrade finishes.
d. Upgrade: Synthesized Music Sims need to have 8pt Future / 9pt Handiness / 9pt Inventing AND 2pt in Music (ie Bass, Guitar, Piano and Drums). All upgrades work similarly. The timer runs out after 16 hours. This upgrade causes the Robot to receive a slow skill gain on a random Music skill when sleeping inside it.
e. Upgrade: BotCharger-Logicbot Database Synchronization Sims need to have 4pt Future / 5pt Handiness (or Inventing) + 3pt Logic (or Science). The timer runs out after 12 hours. This upgrade causes the Robot to receive a slow skill gain on Logic Skill when sleeping inside it.
f. Upgrade: CommuniBot Channel[/n][/o] Sims need to have 5pt Future / 6pt Handiness (or Inventing) + 4pt Charisma + 2pt Social Networking to complete upgrade. The timer runs out after [b][i]14 hours. This upgrade causes the Robot to receive a slow skill gain on BOTH Social Networking and Charisma Skills when sleeping inside it.
NOTE: If a BotCharger has a Skill Gain Type upgrade, it can't receive another.
MOD TYPE & COMPATIBILITY:
This is a Pure Scripting mod, and as such, conflicts are next to non-existent. The mod requires World Adventures, University, and Ambitions (for Simbots) / Into The Future (for Plumbots). This should work with any patch levels (that is, one that corresponds to the Robot coding / Sarcophagus coding. Don't ask me if Patch 0.0 will work!)
INSTALLATION & UNINSTALLATION:
Install like any other packages. For uninstallation, it should just work like any other CC that you can simply take the package out. Though, you won't want Robots sleeping in it before you remove the Package. Install ErrorTrap to save your Savegame if necessary. It is indeed your friend.
TRANSLATION:
There is a seperate .zip containing the .txt for translation. Please only edit the <STR></STR> parts.
TUNING:
Tuning XML file is contained inside the package. Each tunable is pretty much self-explanatory and I have included documentation as well. Go ahead and make changes should you like.
ISSUES:
Clipping with the object when a Robot goes into the BotCharger is unavoidable, this also happens with the original object and is not caused by my script. The animation is pretty short so it shouldn't be an eyesore.
