Spent about a week learning my way around the game. Being the builder that I am, I knew I would not be keeping most of the pre-made lots in Willow Creek but I had no idea what I was going to put on those giant 50x50s.

I woke up one morning after a bad night dreaming of broken showers with a brilliant idea: building a mixed-use plaza would free up 3 or 4 prime pieces of water-front real estate in more reasonable sizes. After I figured out that you can change the lot type mid-game play, it was a done deal.

The lot is showing in the world view as a bar. I think I actually packed it up as a lounge. I have had it set as a gym, library and nightclub and it also qualifies to be a museum. Everything, in fact, but a park.

The buildings are in keeping with the style and proportions of the neighborhood and I think it looks really nice on the map.

The two buildings near the street, the ones with the "frosting", house bars. One has been set up as a music and comedy venue. The other has a dance floor. Half way down the block we have two former residences that have been converted into commercial properties. On the left, an internet cafe where they show indie films upstairs. On the right, a gym. The cafe shares a wall with a charming bed & breakfast perfect for those overnight visits or special dates. At the end of the cul-de-sac we find four identically furnished townhomes. These have been "locked" to the townies by walling off the doors. Should you have a sim rich enough to purchase the entire block, he can change the lot type to Residential, remove the barrier and move right in. The B&B and townhomes share a lovely little grilling courtyard with a statue honoring one of the town's founding fathers. The third floors are all facades. Some items in this lot have been re-sized.
