Mod Description
Developped and tested with game version 1.67.
I was bored and I did this: a working bidet. It's very simple, it's just a "toy", don't expect anything fancy.
Object details: price 300, 817 vertices, 502 polygons, 3 recolorable channels, you'll find it in the Buy
Catalog along with the toilets in both the "by room" and "by function" sections.
What is it and How to Use
Couldn't find the other scene where he figures out what's its purpose. There are two reason to use
this mod: the number one and mostly the number two. All right, I'll stop. Sims can use it autonomously
in theory, but it's unlikely because the hygiene gain is very small (I kept it lower than that you get with
the sink fearing that the bidet would be used more/instead). The object itself is not animated but when
being used it plays a running water sound. The spout is dangerously protuberant, so your sims better
be careful when they sit.
Tuning
The mod is tunable, with S3PE you can edit the "Bidet tuning" XML and set:
- the chance to wash hands after using it
- the duration of the interaction
- the length of the queue to use it and the duration of the wait
If you want to experiment and know where to put your hands, you can also try to increase the hygiene
gain editing the ITUN of the interaction to see if sims will use the bidet autonomously.
Technical Info
I tried to make them with Blender but I kept getting black spots so at the end I modified the
multiplier "manually". I tried to add an overlay texture to make a sink/hole but doesn't show up.
Since I had no idea how to change the groups of the mesh and exporting it successfully, I've
down-scaled the unwanted groups and hidden them inside the bidet. How professional!
Having cloned the LITE resource of a toilet I think the shadow on the wall is messed-up
(like if there is still a tank) but I have no idea how to fix it or with what replace it (the egyptian
toilet comes to mind, but it seems it has very different coordinates). I tried to understand
how the occluders work but, oh boy, that's not for poor Arsil.
