Melina Kanakaredes

Mrs Kanakaredes is a 2nd-generation Greek-American actress. She is known for her roles in TV dramas including CSI:NY. Her family owns a candy store and she used to own and run a Greek restaurant with her husband. She graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater arts. She played in 7 movies, including the role of Athena in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. She's also played in several TV series since 1991. She won the TV Guide award in the year 2000 - Favourite actress in a drama.

Stella Bonasera is one of the most important characters in the series from Season 1 to 6. She's leading the CSI:NY Lab with Lt. Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise). She has trust issues making it difficult to let men approach her on a personal level, and ironically, the few relationships she does have, end up involving a lot of drama. She only falls for great artists and great scientists but it's like the saying. Great intelligence often comes with great craziness. - I am not spoiling you any further!

I hope my eldest daughter will be happy to find her here, she always liked her so much.
