I am pleased to give you the third Teen Club career in my series. This career is appropriately cloned from the teen science career.
The carpool for all 3 levels is the minivan and there is no career outfit. This career has chance cards for all three levels as well.
Level 1: Inventor's Goon
You try to put things together to make something new, but it doesn’t always turn out useful. You might fix something broken here and there at home and it may stay fixed, or not. The Industrial Technology teacher has offered to take you under their wing and show you the very basics in exchange for helping clean the shop up after school. Your more than happy to help as well as learn a thing or two.
Skills: 1 Mechanical
Hours: 3-6PM M W
Wage: -10
Level 2: Aspiring Tinkerer
You are starting to understand the tools in the shop and know their proper names other than “those metal things that hold wood together” or “that shiny sharp wheel that cuts things”. Your industrial tech teacher encourages you to help out the physics teacher in their robotics hobby and learn something new. The physics teacher is delighted when you stop by to help them put together and maintain their robots and in exchange asks you to help out after school in the physics lab.
Skills: 2 Mech and 1 Clean
Hours: 3-6PM M T W
Wage: -5
Level 3: Inventing Guru
You can make anything out of just about anything if you put your mind to it. You even impressed your friends when they handed you a fork and a paperclip and you presented them with a folding fork! A folding fork, how original! You tinker on your own in physics lab or industrial tech shop and are even starting to teach your physics and industrial technology teachers a thing or two.
Hours: 3-6 M T W
Wage: 0
I have also posted the Female Chance Cards. The Male chance cards are appropriately edited
Level 1
$Me is in the middle of sweeping the shop when she notices some tools laying on one of the workshop benches. Her industrial tech teacher did ask her to clean up the place, but she's not exactly sure where they go. There’s a huge wall of unmarked drawers where the tools are put away. She could always ask when they get back and save her time searching or put them away anyway.
Level 2
$Me arrives early to the physics lab and realizes her teacher is finishing up their conference with the faculty. $Me decides to hang around and wait for them and notices the robot they have been working on together has some jammed gears so it keeps throwing its hands up over and over. She wants to turn the robot off so it doesn’t over heat but she doesn’t remember how to. There are two buttons on the front that may do the trick. Should $Me push the yellow or blue button?
Level 3
The physics teacher has talked $Me into putting her skills to use and entering a robotics competition. $Me has been attending weekly meetings during lunch to discuss ideas, brainstorm and collaborate with other club members. After the meeting, she finds a piece of paper on the ground that was left behind by one of the members. Though it looks like chicken scratch, $Me realizes that this was a blue print for a robot! She has brainstorming all week and hasn't come up with any ideas. She could always take the blueprint with her and "borrow" it for the competition or give it back to the member tomorrow.
I hope you enjoy my careers!
