Winter holidays and chimneys are perfect companions.
When it comes to sneaking a photo of Santa on the rooftop they are indispensable.
Unfortunately, modern chimneys, are just not up to the task. Most of them are way too tall and narrow. What's worse, whatever their size, they are capped on the top, with flues just wide enough to let out smoke.
What is a jolly elf or elf spotter to do? Give up those precious rooftop photo opportunities? Surely not!

The Santa chimney works with most roof styles. Roof height must be low for the chimney to show properly.


Sims can walk across flat roofs, so you can position them by leading them up a staircase to the roof and then clicking the vacant space inside the chimney to get them in position. Alternatively, you can use a Teleporter Statue placed in the center of the chimney and teleporting them over. On all other types of roofs, as Sims cannot walk over them, a Teleporter Statue is necessary. They will also need to be teleported off the roof when you are done.
Chimneys placed on ground level can be entered by simply clicking on the vacant space at the center of the chimney.


The Santa Chimney is found in Decorations under Statues, or in Build under Chimneys.
The price is 660 Simoleons.
