All the Lilac rooms I've been working on this month have been for Ms. Crumplebottom's Hideaway, a building challenge that's nearly done, and a lot of creators have clearly been having a great time with it. I'm really enjoying it too, but, I've been seriously meandering on approach. The home is supposed to come in under §50K, but I sort of turned left and kept on going...

I don't especially care for frilly, froufy, lace and doilies, so I challenged myself to come up with a home suitable for Ms. Crumplebottom that I would also find appealing. But no TVs or computers, no stereo. A room for her cat. Then I added a juice bar on the back patio because of course she would. Telescopes front and back to keep a disapproving eye on the neighbours. No CC at all. If you wanted to, you could snag this Medium Wood Piano just match a little better, but it really isn't necessary. Basically, I went way over budget because I was just having a big, fun time building a lavish but old-fashioned home for a single sim (or possibly a couple, no kids, or maybe the cat's room easily transforms into a nursery, or whatever, I'm not the boss of your game). I'm gonna start again on a smaller build that will actually follow challenge rules, but I ended up liking this one enough to share.

Built with everything, so it needs everything. Definitely pulls a lot from Seasons and KBS. Checked with clean installer.

More Lilac is on the way -- and with any luck, two more iterations of Ms. Crumplebottom's Hideaway!
