Paternal Last Name

This mod will change child's last name to match father's last name if parents are in a relationship with each other. Decided to wait before tying the knot? No problem! As long as parents enter a relationship before child reaches young adult age, child's last name is changed.

Take your pick from the following versions:
  • Married, parents have to be married for child's last name to update.
  • Significant others, parents have to be in a romantic relationship with each other (married, engaged, bf/gf).
  • Always, will try to always give the child it's fathers last name regardless of parents relationship status.


Updates are processed after every loading screen and sim birth or you can type the command 'reve.last_name_update' to do so manually. To update specific sim's last name type 'reve.last_name_update [first_name] [last_name]'. To view sim's parents type 'reve.print_parents [first_name] [last_name]'. In case parents are crossed (father is mother or mother is father), type 'reve.switch_parents [first_name] [last_name]'. Specifying first and last name is optional, otherwise code will be run for active sim.
