Tired of the default map tags? This mod offers the perfect solution! It replaces the original shiny, 3D bubble style with a sleek, minimalistic flat design. I was never a fan of the original tags, and if you feel the same, you’ll love how clean and simple the new design looks.

In the "Packs Needed" section, you'll find a list of all the Expansion Packs (EPs) that include icons in this mod. But don’t worry—even if you don’t have one or two of these EPs, the mod is still fully compatible with the base game and will work without any issues.
Release Notes:
  • Modern Map Tags V1 - The original minimalistic map tag redisign

  • Modern Map Tags V2 - This version is made to mimic the style of the icons from earlier game patches

The following resources have been replaced in this mod and may conflict with other mods that alter them. Below is a list of the replaced resources:
  • ATLAS_MapTag_00 and ATLAS_MapTag_01 (These files include some other icon from all EPs).
  • from ATLAS_MapTagColors_00 to ATLAS_MapTagColors_04
  • Some icons from World Adventures, that were not included in ATLAS_MapTag_00 (Chinese landmark tomb and etc.)

This mod will not conflict with anything unless you have something that replaces the exact same texture files as listed above. It's compatible with all versions of the game.

However, if you're using custom UI mods, they might interfere with how my mod functions. If you'd like to keep using custom UI mods, I recommend merging their UI with mine. This will ensure that any overlapping resources are replaced by the ones in my mod, keeping everything without any conflicts.

Installation Instructions:
  • Place the package in the Mods/Packages folder.
  • If you'd like to give the mod a higher priority, place it in the Mods/Overrides folder.
  • Don't forget to delete your cache files after installing newer versions of the mod!
