Classic Hairs Default Replacements

  • Replaced all meshes from an actual 2017 version of the game, and added LOD meshes to all the hairs. They should all look fine from a distance now.
  • Fixed clipping with male LongBraidedPulledBack (seen in the screenshots), it uses an actual maxis male mesh now.
  • Fixed mixed textures between auShortAfro and cmShortFro.
  • amShortTextured.package hides the male hair and afShortAfro.package hides the female hair, to avoid duplicates. Both are the same hairstyles on older versions.
  • Organized folders and names to be more accurate to the in-game names.
Here there are some defaults for the hairstyles EA decided to update some time ago because they looked outdated. I wanted to replace these because I'm trying to recreate the 2014/pre-rebranding version of the game. Not much left to say about these defaults really.

They all have maxis match thumbnails in the new neutral black, and recolored to have all the new 6 hair colors (Neutral Black, Warm Brown, Light Brown, Neutral Blond, Light Blond and White Blond).

  • MedTexturedCurls - Adults, Female & Male
  • AfroMedium - Adults, Female & Male
  • ShortAfro - Adults, Female & Male (Disabled for Female)
  • ShortTextured - Adults, Female (Disabled for Male)
  • LongBraidedPulledBack - Adults, Female & Male
  • Puffball - Child, Female
  • Braided Ponytail - Child, Female
  • ShortFro - Children, Male
* Hairstyles that do not have age conversions are not replaced for the other age stages
