Have you ever noticed just how weird the dolls from dollhouses look? Sure, they may not be very noticeable in normal gameplay, but if you're taking screenshots, these creepy low-poly dolls can look very out of place. I mean, they certainly don't look like something I would ever give a child to play with.
So I decided to replace them with something a kid may actually find appealing. I'm not very creative so I settled on good ol' Barbie dolls we all know and love :D

The mesh and textures are original. I made them with Blender and Gimp, based on a couple different Barbie dolls I found on Google, and some that I remember having in my childhood.

Mesh info (it's the same for both dolls):
Polygons = 1962
Vertices = 1021

FAQ
  • The dolls are invisible in my game, what do I do?
Go to your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 folder and delete everything that has the word "cache" in it. If that doesn't help, please check if you have any other mod that replaces the same object.
  • Is this the broken doll I've heard about? Is it going to give me a virus and mess up my savefiles?
No. Just because they're dolls doesn't mean they are the Girl Doll Dressed. They don't have any custom interactions or anything else that could potentially break and corrupt the save.
  • Do they work with any dollhouse?
Yes. The doll objects are the same for every dollhouse, so they'll work with the one from Supernatural, and even CC ones!
  • Does it break the animation where toddlers put the doll in their mouth?
Nope. In my opinion, it looks even better than before.
  • Do they have thumbnails?
Yep! I replaced those even though you can't see them without picking them up with MoveObjects :p
  • Can I rip the model and use it in some other game/software?
Please contact me about it first.
