Hello and welcome!

Yet another retrowave/80's inspired build, but this one comes with a backstory:

In my Disarray Harbor neighborhood there is the Gallagher family, who are rumored to have plans about renovating the whole town into something the local traditionalists may find disastrous, with their own home their first target. I didn't really have anything particular in mind while setting up this part of their lore, but recently thisfatfunnylife, who writes about DH on her blog, asked me about what exactly the Gallaghers might turn the town into, theoretically. So I desided to come up with a renovation project for their mansion to give an idea of where their ambitions might lead them.

My main goal was to transform their Dutch Colonial house, which originally was American Way 101 by larsson1970, into a weird looking build that would stand out of the typical suburbian architecture so much the small town folks would consider it nothing but monstrous, to say the least. I also wanted to add some "controlled chaos" vibes to match the owners' extravaganza. The retrowave style was chosen because it's something I'm already familiar with, plus while discussing the Gallaghers, me and thisfatfunnylife both agreed that it's the kind of thing they might enjoy.

So this is a three-story mansion with a questionable layout that can offer two bedrooms, each united with its own bathroom, an (almost) indoor pool, a two-car garage, a small backyard, a separate room for pets, a living room, which I call "the glass room", a small gym, an office/photo studio, and, of course, a kitchen with a dining room.

In the download section you will find two archives:

- Blue Monday: a version of the lot that requires CC, all of which can be found in the CC Required section. The only thing you won't find there are the cars that are seen on some of the screenshots since I placed them for the aesthetic purposes only;

- Imperial Drive 2 (Renovated): a CC free version of the lot made to match Disarray Harbor, which also doesn't need any custom content. It's a bit less detailed than Blue Monday, but other than that the difference isn't that big.

Both lots sizes are 40x40.
CC version costs 301.578, CC free costs 296.548.

Special thanks to thisfatfunnylife for the idea and to Like Totally Sims 2 on Tumblr because if it wasn't for their CC finds none of my retrowave/80's inspired builds would've existed.

Have a nice one!
