Hello and welcome to Jaspers Heights!

The tragic history of Jaspers Heights has given it a reputation as a town with a disturbing and eerie aura. Once a thriving community, most of the town was buried under tons of water, leaving many people homeless, traumatized, or even dead due to a horrible mistake made by the local authorities. As a result, the town seems frozen in time, with only a few local families still living here for various reasons. People from nearby areas tend to avoid talking about Jaspers Heights, fueling ridiculous rumors of a cult operating in the area and adding to the belief that the town is cursed.
However, if you push aside all the nonsense and take a closer look at Jaspers Heights, you'll see that it's just another sleepy town where life moves slowly. The residents are always ready to greet you with a welcoming smile and share a few stories about how nice their town actually is...

What is this?

This is my third and, for now, my final inhabited and slightly plot-driven neighborhood. Just like Woodville, Jaspers Heights is a recreation of a town I used to play with ages ago. Unlike the others, though, it's not lost nowadays, but it is very corrupted and glitchy, so it's impossible to play with anymore, sadly.

Plot?

Yes, as mentioned before, there is a plot - a murder mystery, to be specific. A local teenager was found dead, and there are rumors that a local cult might have been involved in his demise.
Nothing too complicated, but if you find yourself confused or just want to skip to the "aha! I knew it!" part, I've left the solution in the storytelling folder. Just don't go there unless you want to spoil the culprit's persona.
Whether you want to solve the mystery or not, I recommend starting your game with Bridget Harrison, as her diary will give you a brief introduction to the town and some of the latest news.
Also, fun fact - the history of Jaspers Heights was partly inspired by a real existing town I have visited a couple of times.

What's the town like?

- There are a total of 44 lots: 3 apartment buildings, 15 community lots, and 26 residential lots, with one of them being used purely for decoration. The majority of the lots are revamped versions of Maxis builds that were either taken from the bin or premade neighborhoods while some were completely designed by me;

- There are 20 families living in Jaspers Heights;

- There are some randomly generated NPCs, but not many;

- It's quite heavy and large, even my positively decent PC had trouble loading things at times, which resulted in some pink flashing (never happened to me before, but good to know), so keep that in mind;

- Speaking of the town's size, I highly recommend having some custom camera mods installed, as there's at least one lot that you might not be able to reach with the default camera;

- It was built on a custom version of Driftwood terrain, made by me;

- All families have their starting time set at 5 am on Monday;

- The empty version (without any residents and NPCs) is provided if anyone needs one;

- It's not BGC and requires you to have all the EPs and SPs;

Any issues?

Just one so far: based on the feedback I've got for my previous towns, some of the premade NPCs names might be messed up or have weird symbols. This is because my game is not in English, and I only found out about this issue halfway through the project, so there was nothing I could do about that. If you encounter this problem, the only solution I can suggest is changing the names using SimBlender. I have personally done this a few times before, and it worked perfectly for me.

Anything else?

Since keeping things simple is too easy for me, this town does require some CC, cars to be specific. However, it's ok if you don't want them in your game - it will work perfectly fine without them as well, you'll just have to swap them out for whatever you prefer.
All cars were made by VovilliaCorp and can be found HERE.

Update stuff:

- Replaced the lots made by another creator with the ones made by me;

- Changed the empty version's folder name to JSPH to make things easier. Wasn't able to do the same thing with the inhabited version, sadly, since my attempts to rename the files led to the neighbourhood's album being messed up.

Special thanks:

- To TwoJeff for Sim Blender;
- To Mootilda for HoodChecker and Lot Compressor;
- To BO for No Sim Loader;

Have a nice one!
