All Face Templates Replaced with Aliens! (27 Default Replacements)

BACKGROUND
A couple of weeks ago, I was making some alien sims in Body Shop for a potential storyline in one of my neighborhoods. After the third one or so that I made, I was curious about what those aliens would look like as teens, children, and toddlers, and the results were nothing less than an abomination. Unfortunatelly, when you tweak a sim's face so much, their children might look quite unfortunate. I knew the only solution was to turn these sims into face templates, first, and then create the sims using those faces. That way I'd be able to fix every life-stage's face and be confident that my aliens' offspring wouldn't look like monsters.

And then I thought; well, if I'm going to go through the hassle of making face templates, I might as well make a full set and upload them in case they're useful to anyone out there. So, here they are!

GAMEPLAY
I believe these would be of use to anyone who plays/is thinking about playing an alien-themed neighborhood. Your game could start generating alien-looking townies and NPCs so that they fit the town's environment, instead of generating humans over and over again.

Alternatively, you could use these to quickly create some aliens to suit your needs, trusting that these faces are already fixed so that they look good in all life stages and both genders.

Or, you could do whatever you want with them. I'm honestly just happy to be sharing them.

FILES
There's two options to download: one of them has a corresponding infant/baby face for each one of the 27 templates, and the other one doesn't have them.

- If you choose the file with infant faces, all of the sims that are created or generated with these faces will produce babies with unique and corresponding faces. This means that babies will look like their parents! And, quite honestly, they all look so freaking cute!

I was able to do this thanks to Meowingcookie's Maxis Infant Face Templates. I followed the tutorial and made matching faces for my aliens, which are already included in the downloadable file.

- If you choose the file without the infant faces, all babies will be born like normal, and they will have the common baby face. Choose whichever works best for you!

EXTRA INFORMATION / TIPS
  • If you use the infant face version, babies born from any sims created with these templates will have a super cute, matching, alien, baby face. If both parents have any of these templates, the babies will have a mixed face, which is very cool in my opinion.
  • However, if a sim generated from these templates reproduces with a sim whose template doesn't have an infant one, the baby face will be mixed with the normal baby face that comes with the game.
  • If you mesh any of the faces in CAS, using the right-click method, the baby faces will mesh, too!
  • Only download one of the two options; having both will make them work unexpectedly. Similarly, having any other set of templates from any other creator at the same time won't allow any of them to work properly. However, you can remove and introduce sets as you wish, as long as you only have one at a time.
  • I recommend using townified skins and eyes so that new sims spawn with alien skins and eyes instead of the human ones. Nonetheless, it's not required at all. You can do what works the best for your game!
  • Make sure you're using Argon's archfix for faces 21 and 25 to work properly in the game. Whether you're using default face templates or not, I consider this an essential mod.

  • katu_sims' tutorial for making default face templates. I followed this tutorial to make my last set of faces, and I had to follow it again this time because I couldn't remember how to do it. It's a very friendly tutorial and I know this is one that a lot of people use to make their own sets.
  • AllenABQ's base templates, which I used for both my previous set and this one. This is a big advantage and I'm grateful.
  • Meowingcookie's infant faces, which I downloaded and replaced with my baby faces.
