If you're like me, you may have developed an instinct to automatically dismiss certain notifications that appear in the top-right corner of your game. However, do you ever find yourself dismissing one, only to realize you completely missed what it said? Maybe the message was about the time a party is starting, or the details of a promotion. Poof, gone without a trace, because your 17 years of muscle memory pressing the X button has taken hold of you.

NO MORE. This mod adds a secondary notification drawer below the game's own, dedicated to viewing up to 100 historical notifications per play session. The button to open it only shows when you bring your cursor near the top-right of your screen, to keep your focus on the gameplay as distraction-free as possible.

Installation
Like most others, this script mod is simple to install. After your mods folder has been set up for the first time, just drop the package file in your Documents\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder and you're done.

Usage
After receiving at least 1 notification, you'll now be able to reveal a second slide-out button below the usual one by hovering your cursor near the top right corner. The interface is identical to the game's own, and keeps things sorted via the Information/Lessons/Chatty tabs at the top like always. If a live notification above is a large one, the history panel will move down automatically to make room. The X button has been removed, and the panel can be closed by pressing the side arrow a second time, after which it will disappear when you move your cursor away.
  • All historical notifications contain an in-game timestamp above their content.
  • Up to 100 of them get saved across all tabs, after which the oldest ones will be deleted.
  • Historical notifications are saved on a "per-session" basis and will disappear when you quit, travel, or return to the main menu.
  • Portraits/choices/etc inside the messages cannot be clicked to prevent potential glitches if a person, object, or opportunity has since disappeared.
