This is a short and sweet default replacement that fixes Showtime's loading screen when playing at a resolution of 1080p or above. The spotlights that move across the screen get "stuck" along the edges as apparently Maxis never accounted for people playing at HD resolutions. The spotlights will stop moving once they reach a certain coordinate and will never disappear.

It took some playing around with to understand how Maxis has their loading screen animations configured, but after a lot of trial & error I was able to give everything a pretty fade in/out effect. I wish it was possible to have the spotlights move across the entirety of the screen for larger resolutions but unfortunately I was unable to find a way to do this despite much sleuthing. The spotlights will still move the same distance as before (about the span of a 16:9 1080p screen) but now they will no longer become stuck and you will enjoy the animations as intended.

(apologies for the crunchy GIF, there is a tiny file size limit!)

Here is a video comparing the vanilla loading screen against my fixed version, recorded at a 1440p resolution in-game:

Installation & Compatibility:
Simply place this in your packages folder and voila!

Not compatible with any other mods that make changes to the initial boot-up loading screen.

Please note that Showtime is required for this override to work as the package file does not contain any actual UI assets.

For Tiny UI Fix users:
You will need to re-run the configurator in order for this override to take effect.

Recommendation:
This works great with Tesuto's Loading Screen Randomizer. It takes about 5 minutes to set up but they have a download with all loading screens available inside the post, after which you'd simply replace the EP 6 one with my version. Follow their instructions and you'll be greeted with a different loading screen each time you open the game!

Should you choose to use Tiny UI Fix in conjunction with Tesuto's Randomizer, you'll need to follow this work-around.
