Updated: 16th Apr 2007 at 9:39 PM - adding a request
I am adding an open request here for anyone who is capable and wants to redo these gates or the oneway doors by properly meshing them, Please do so. Just let me know when they are done and I will gladly add a link to my threads to your work. I am unable to do that kind of thing, but as was pointed out to me, these files are way too big.
-----
As an ongoing process I have expanded on my oneway door theme with all of the maxis gates:
Only one gate seems to have been added after the basegame however and that is the Sentry Gate.
All gates have original colors and hopefully will pick up on recolors, but whether or not they will pickup recolors is still under testing.
The directional arrow shown during installation shows which direction the sims will go through the gate.
I decided to post these as a set under the building category since at least one person has told me my oneway doors would have been better placed in the building forum as well. Oh well live and learn I guess. As always if any moderator thinks this set or anything else I post should be in another location please move them.
The idea of this entire project was I got frustrated watching all the sims fuss when 2 or more sims wanted to use the same gate or door in opposite directions and getting mad because it was blocked by the other sim.
I hope everyone will enjoy the expanded options for control over movement this project has created.
As always suggestions or ideas for improvement are more than welcome.
I must thank Inge Jones for telling me I could do the doors and allowing me to use her door mods as a working example. Without that push this entire project would never have happened.
Now as a sidenote in regards to compatibility if you have the existing gate by maxis in your game already the gate should show up and function, if not, the gate will not show or function since they all use the existing maxis Mesh for a particular gate.
Now as to mistakes or goofs (and I know I probably made some), they are mine and no one elses. I will take all the blame for that but on the other hand any thing that is good or right the honor goes to so many people here and all over the sims community that it would be impossible to try and list them all.
my doors can be found at the following MTS2 links:

Additional Credits: SimPE for the great tool it is for a dumb beginner like me. CEP for being the most valuable item in my downloads folder

This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
This custom content if it is not clothing, may require a seperate download to work properly. This is available at Colour Enable Package (CEP) by Numenor.

About Me
I am just trying to give a little back to the community when I do any thing like my oneway doors. My policies if you can call them that are very simple and basic:
1: You are welcome to use them in any lot you upload to any site as long as the lot is in a completely free download area.
2: I would of course love being mentioned and for you to give a link to the original threads as well, but neither one is required.
3: Use them where ever they will help in the game and above all else enjoy the game.
