Update 12/19/07: After testing I've found that once I use the controller file in game it updates itself to only work with all EP (I have all ep installed). The controller file is 74kb when I start once I end my game it is 193kb. So I have concluded that I have to create the no ep controller and not use it in my game. The new post should work for any combination of EP's. The file BecksRideableDonkey.zip most likely will only work if you have all EP's installed. If you do not have all Ep's please try the file BecksRideableDonkeyNoEP.zip.

I have also added new animations and sound. A new option to have the donkey hee haw and kick. A new riding animation has been added also.

This is found under Knowledge/Exercise - I set the price at $1200.

Sims gain body skill, fitness and fun when riding the donkey.

It works about the same as my other rideable items. It should work with any combination of EP's and/or base game. I did have a report that the camel was not fully functional with just the base game and I have posted a new version for those that don't have the

I created the donkey animation, plus the sims animations for riding. Sometimes the sims will sit on the donkey backwards or sidesaddle, I've tried to direct them so that they no longer do this but I can't promise they won't sit on it backwards from time to time, usually the first time they ride it.

For those of you that are requesting a rideable horse. I have been working on Dragon_Slave's horse mesh and textures for a few weeks. I have a lot more to do on this before it will be ready to upload. I owe some of the idea of making a rideable animal to Dragon_Slave. Thanks Dragon_Slave!

If you are interested in seeing some of my progress on the horse Click Here

If there is enough interest I may add more animations later.

Note:
If a sims is riding it when you exit the game it will disappear, because it is controlled by an NPC.

Please let me know your opinions of this item. I really love to hear from those that enjoy my items. If you really like it and want to stay upto date on new version please add it to your favorites.

Donkey Info:
The Donkey is also known as the Burro, Jackass, or Jennet.
The Egyptians probably domesticated the Donkey around 4000 B.C.
The Egyptians used them for riding, pulling carts and wagons,
and as pack animals much like we do today. Donkeys come in a
variety of sizes from the miniatures that are less than 36 inches
to the Mammoth Jackstock that are 14 hh and up. The Donkey is easier
to teach and tame than the majority of horses and are very surefooted
which makes them better on mountain paths. The Donkey is very laid back
and self-preserving in nature.

They are very friendly and can perform all the gaits horses or mules do.
Donkeys can also make wonderful guard animals. The right donkey could take
care of an entire herd of cattle, sheep or goats with their natural aversion
to predators and wild canines. Donkeys and dogs typically don't mix, although
they can be trained to leave them alone.
