FILE RE-UPLOADED SINCE FILESERVER CRASH
At first I didn't like the European windows and doors, but recently I couldn't help realising that the gold and blue European window was actually quite nice
I decided to make an apartment building with them in because I had never used them before. It was quite interesting trying to match the OFB windows with non shop furniture and trying to make the apartments slightly different from each other, but this is what I came up with. It's the first time I've tried to build in this style and of course any comments/feedback would be appreciated :D
Anyway, the lot has 2 small apartments and a communal area. The communal area includes a patio with BBQ, an inside pool, a toilet and an area to play cards in. It is built with Numenor's AnyGameStarter and is on a 3x3 lot. As a residential lot, it costs $180,984 but as apartments they are $2,706 and $2,205 per week. The whole lot is fully furnished and contains no CC.
Apartment 1 - $2,706/week
The more expensive of the 2 apartments, Apartment 1 (on the left hand side) has 2 bedrooms, one single and one double. It has a kitchen and dining room on the ground floor, a living room and bathroom on the first floor and upstairs there is a toilet and the 2 bedrooms.
Apartment 2 - $2,205/week
Apartment 2 (right hand side) can have a maximum of 4 sims living in it as it has 1 double bedroom and 2 single bedrooms. The bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs. On the first floor there is a kitchen/dining room which also has a piano in it :p. In the hallway there is a TV and sofa and downstairs there is a tiny study area with a desk & computer.
Information about turning into an apartment building
This lot does not require Apartment Life to work - I couldn't add AL to the AnyGameStarter because I bought it digitally but it can easily be converted to an AL lot if you have AL.
All you have to do is go into the lot, exchange the front doors (the doors that lead to the hallway, not the ones that lead to outside) with apartment doors (mats facing outwards), press ctrl shift cto open the cheat box and type
changelotzoning apartmentbase
Then you can move your sims into the apartment
To rent the apartments furnished, type
boolprop testingcheatsenabled true
into the cheat box. Then select your sim and shift click on the apartment door of the apartment you want to rent and choose rent furnished.
Enjoy! :D

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
