The Facility - Former Hospital (Apocalypse August Theme)

It is the same story whatever town we liberate. This town is no exception. The formula is the same.

THEY come. The Hunters, the Cleansers and the Specialists and they do their work. The Hunters come first and annihilate civilisation as we know it. The Cleansers come and suck the town dry of any natural resources, food and water and finally they begin on the old, the weak and the helpless. Then perhaps the most terrifying of all, the Specialists move in...

Drones erect what THEY call The Facility (this abomination is a prefabricated hellhole which can be put on site in a matter of hours ..) and the surviving members of the population, by now only the strong are left, (some we know have managed to escape and are hiding somewhere). The remaining captives, the strong and the able bodied are brought to the Facility for Specialist Treatment. The captives come willingly as they are lead to believe that this is their salvation. The soothing reception area making them feel at ease .. That is until they reach the first stage of the Treatment in the Examination room.

The Treatment is crude and barbaric Cyborg Transformation Surgery. Half sim, half cyborg - their free will removed and their vulnerable parts replaced, and what's left of their brains programmed to obey THEM.

The Treated (as they are called Post Surgery) become part of the army of THEM, and on they go, with their Masters, to the next town .. and the next .. Erecting new Facilities, making more Treated ...

All we can do is try and find survivors, *if* survivors remain they are gone to ground and too terrified to appear to us, and ultimately destroy each Facility. Finding every Facility is a tough job, THEY choose remote and lonely places for the site. Places where the Specialists can work undisturbed ... It is our sad duty to reside at the Facilities when we search for survivors, when we leave we burn the place to the ground.

Enclosed are photographs of the latest Facility we have discovered. By the looks of things, THEY have recently left to move to the next city in their relentless search for mineral wealth and slaves to take back to their world. They leave nothing behind except for an Apocalyptic landscape and perhaps, if we can detect survivors, hope.
