Updated: 5th May 2013 at 2:06 PM - Updated bone assignments on hand
March 16: Important update ! The bone assignments on the hand were not correct and thus the sims wearing the robe couldn't bend their hands. It is now fixed, so please redownload!
This dress is made for all those who love fantasy fashion. I thought of a LOTR Elven dress when I made it.
It is a special treasure so I hope your Sims will enjoy it
This is actually an updated version of this dress. I made the first version for the NextFasionArtist contest. Since I was under a lot of time pressure to finish it, I couldn't get it as perfect as I wanted. Now it is improved and ready for you to download!
But I don't want to bore you... so on to the important stuff!
Warning: Due to the wide sleeves and long skirt part, there will likely be some clipping during gameplay! Also looks freaky with some custom poses, especially ones with crossed legs. Don't try that.
The sleeves will defy gravity if your sim put the arms in the air. Sorry, nothing I can do about that.
But before you decide to ignore the dress, you might look at some pictures first
I hope you like the dress as much as I do

Inge & Peter Jones for S3PE And thanks to
Justin and Augusto for hosting the NFA (Next Fasion Artist) contest, without them this dress wouldn't be here now!

- this dress is for young adult and adult females.
- you'll find it under everyday and formal wear. Random NOT enabled. Also not outerwear enabled (thought it would be a bit chilly.)
- custom mesh with new LODS and fit/fat/thin morphs.
- the creation is basegame compatible!
- the texture is a mix of EA textures, handpainted and photoskinned elements.
- there are four different overlays which are half transparent so they can be recoloured!
- four colour channels and different mask/overlay combinations for maximum customizability. See picture in the attachment for channels and mapping.
- custom thumbnails included for easy recognition.

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.
For Package files:
1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
For Sims3Pack files:
1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
