Update: After taking a closer look at the blinds in game, I realized that the buying and selling prices were different. This caused the blinds to be purchased at the new prices but only sold for the original 80 simoleons of the Maxis "Nouveau Riche Blinds". This has now been fixed, please re-download and delete the old versions. I apologize for this inconvenience.

I've always liked the "Nouveau Riche Blinds" but thought it was a shame that they covered the whole window. When you place several windows in a row, it becomes sort of overkill to have blinds over every one.

So, I have edited the original one-tile blinds to make them two, three and four tiles. Some of the slats have also been removed so you get the look of having blinds that are pulled open, much like real life. There are screenshots showing the blinds on two different sets of windows, but they also fit a few others nicely. These are new meshes and will not alter the Maxis original.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Object Information:

The meshes come in both short and medium wall height and are in two separate download files. All blinds come in the 9 original Maxis textures, which have been altered slightly to correct shadows.

They can be found in Buy Mode - Objects by Function - Decorations - Window Coverings under the following names and prices.

"Nouveau Riche Double Blinds" and "Nouveau Riche Double Blinds (Medium)" for 160 simoleons.

"Nouveau Riche Triple Blinds" and "Nouveau Riche Triple Blinds (Medium)" for 240 simoleons.

"Nouveau Riche Quadruple Blinds" and "Nouveau Riche Quadruple Blinds (Medium)" for 360 simoleons.

Placement Information:

All binds except one should place on windows easily. The only one I had trouble with was the "Nouveau Riche Quadruple Blinds (Medium)". For this blind, it is much easier to place the blind on the wall first and then purchase and place the windows, otherwise it can be rather hard to get it to snap into the correct place.
