You can download four recolors of the base which match the frame of the Hipster Metal Chair.
Furtermore I made packages to make this subsets recolorable for some repositoried objects.
These are my 2x2-NuMica Table, my NuMica Stool and DTNutmeggers 2x1- and 3x1-NuMica Tables.
The 2x1 and 3x1 tables can be downloaded from here..
You should use the CEP for the 1x1-Table, if you use one of the other packages.

put into C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Catalog\zCEP-EXTRA.
