Sperry's Tap Room

Whether you are a college town in need of a nostalgia soaked pub, or charming main street in Riverview, Sperry's Tap Room offerd your sims the perfect local watering hole. The building's old brick facade is brightened up by large bay windows and an outside seating area. Once inside, warm wood tones greet you at the large, main bar. There are high tables and booth seats if you want some private conversation, and a pool table, foosball, and darts for you to try your hands at.



Out the back is the second bar and beer garden space. A little more weathered than the room you just came through, you can sit at the bar, a high table, or the picnic tables if the sun is shining. The ping pong table used to be inside, but some unruly college kids came around one day, moved it outside, and it has stayed there ever since. The small stage can be used for impromptu performances. Local legend says one of the bartenders will sometimes perform with their cover band, so choose your visits wisely. Upstairs is the office, where all business transactions are kept in order. A small apartment can accommodate a sim working late, or if you want to try your hand at running a home business.



The exterior of this lot was based on Sperry's Restaurant in Saratoga Springs, NY. It has been serving the town since 1932, and on a visit this summer I was struck by its old world charm. I've taken liberties with the rest of the building. The real Sperry's has an outdoor patio and bar, which I scaled down for sims needs.

Known Issues:
Lot is fully playtested and functional. Only known issue is the warehouse sign on the top level of the building does not disappear when you move to lower levels. This is not too distracting, but I did want to mention it. The object was placed from buy debug.
