Here is another Palm Springs home by architect Donald Wexler. This one is based on the 1959 Leeds-Howard House II at 375 Via Lola. The actual house is much more architecturally complex along the backyard pool. For my purposes I needed it to fit on a 30x20 lot so the long plain wall is more representative of the many many tract house copies that were built in the 1960s.



The Leeds/Howard couple you may know from the movie Seabiscuit. This house has been on the market for around 2.5 million while the stripped-down tract house version goes for 6-700K. As if all these Wexlers weren't confusing enough, this is actually the second Leeds-Howard house. The first one was commissioned in 1954 at 515 West Via Lola. They each have been owned by various celebrities over the years.
