Welcome to Flamingo Heights! Featured here is lot number 11 - The Palm Shadow!

THIS LOT HAS MINIMAL CUSTOM CONTENT - PLEASE SEE THE LINKS BELOW!

Hello fellow Simmers! It's been a while, but I'm back with another home of my design that I hope you will all enjoy. This is named The Palm Shadow from my Atomic Age / Space Age styled desert town of Flamingo Heights. During the winter months, many of our Sims love the snow (myself included), but here in Flamingo Heights you can spend your "green holidays" under the heat of the sun!

This is a smaller home with a lot of Mid-Century charm, including two bedrooms for adult sims and two full bathrooms. The kitchen has an eat-in section for easy dining space with access to the back patio pool area. The home itself features two enclosed paito sections for privacy - both at the front and back of the home - with glass roofs. The bedrooms may be converted or changed for any of your family's needs, and it's quite possible for the larger bathroom to be remodeled into a third bedroom if needed. That will be for the new home-owner to decide. When designing this home I went for a split roof design that I remembered seeing on older mid-century home designs from that era, and I made something of my own for this home. The roof itself is also a solar roof to cut-down on energy costs. (Your Sims will rejoyce at having lower bills when it comes to using so much air-conditioning in the desert heat year-round) The main theme for the exterior is green and white, with yellow and brown wooden tones for the living room area. I designed the kitchen based on the colors of the tiled walls and I think it all came together quite nicely. Also, you may be wondering why I have placed fireplaces in this home, but it's actually not uncommon for desert homes to have them. The desert can become quite cold at night hours. There is custom content for this build which is required for the house to look the way it does in the pictures, but if you don't want it, then you can download the home devoid of furniture. Only the living room and kitchen mostly have the CC.

Be sure to watch for future uploads from me, and happy Simming!
