The landlord had been renting this out as one unit, when they thought to themselves: "what if I separated the top and bottom floors and got TWICE the rent?" and so, the split apartment was created.

Each unit comes with a kitchen, dining space, living area, and 1 bathroom. The bottom unit has 3 bedrooms/multi purpose rooms, and the top has 2 bedrooms/multi purpose rooms. The backyard is a common space for residents, featuring a hot tub, seating area, and play space for any children.
