Ideal Careers/Skills for Cyjon's Revised Majors

This mod is meant to be used with Cyjon's Revised Majors Mod.

When using Cyjon's mod by itself:
  • The ideal careers are unchanged from the vanilla game (shown in the choosing a major UI), and do not fit the desired changes made by Cyjon.
  • The ideal skills are unchanged from the vanilla game (shown in the choosing a major UI), and do not fit the desired changes made by Cyjon.
With this extra mod:
  • The ideal careers are changed based on Cyjon's alterations.
  • The ideal skills are changed based on Cyjon's alterations. This may only be cosmetical (i.e. no gameplay effect).
  • Depending on the version of this extra mod, the careers added in University (i.e. Artist, Natural Science, Paranormal, and Show Business)
    can be:
    • -locked from appearing in newspapers/computers unless a degree is acquired under the vanilla restrictions.
    • -locked from appearing in newspapers/computers anytime an applicable degree (complementing Cyjon's recommended majors for those careers) has not been acquired (majorMatchedToCareer file).
    • -unrestricted and thus be shown on a newspaper/computer even if a Sim hasn't aquired any degrees (unlockedCareers file).

Note: The philosophy major does not have any ideal careers/skills when using this extra mod; according to Cyjon's philosophy (pun intended :P), the philosophy major is a "general "jack of all trades, master of none" major". Additionally, the UI cannot show more than 4 ideal skills (all of them are used in Cyjon's mod for this major).

Ideal careers are determined via a BCON, every single major has its own value: ([career type] - Tuning - Flags)
  • Art: 1
  • Biology: 2
  • Drama: 4
  • Economics: 8
  • History: 16
  • Literature: 32
  • Mathematics: 64
  • Philosophy: 128
  • Physics: 256
  • Political Science: 512
  • Psychology: 1024
Thus, the summed value in the BCON corresponds to the majors that are applicable to that ideal career.
This is the same with skills: (Tuning-General -> they all have the same name, so match the group number with the resource above for careers for example in order to find out which BCON corresponds to which major).
