---NEW------I was not happy with the compression of the pattern on the Moroccan screen, so I fiddled with it and updated. If you look at the original screen shot and the new one, hopefully you can see the improvement. Anyway, just download the updated file - it should overwrite the original and replace it with the new one. Let me know if there are problems with it.-----
Hello again. With the cooler weather around me, firescreens have been showing up in stores more often, and while I can't use one [ stove rather than fireplace ] I thought that I'd modify the existing screens for the Sims into matching fireplace screens.
To the best of my knowledge, the facecounts and vertex counts for both screens are identical to the original meshes, however, in case they are not:
Moroccan screen - Original Sims 2
Facecount - 2608
Vertexcount - 1992
Modern screen - Open for Business
--Frame
Facecount - 1360
Vertexcount - 1624
--Fabric
Facecount - 832
Vertexcount - 1232
They are designed to pull the textures from the original objects. Hopefully you will enjoy these as much I did making them.
Also, the modern screens might look better not as fireplace screens, but as a smaller accent. This also goes for the solid moroccan screens. Still, they should add a little something for your sims and their homes and businesses.
---Cloning, recolouring and Redistribution rules
Feel free to clone and meddle with. I only altered Maxis meshes. To recolour, you just recolour the original screens, there are no texture files included with these. Feel free to redistribute freely. Notice the freely - do not use on a paysite, and please provide a link back to this post if you do use it.

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.
