Mod to allow Toddlers To Use Stairs

Be sure to only download the version you need. The original version only works if you have a Servo's in your game. If not please download the NoEP version

If you want the version that tests for toddler's ability to walk please download ToddlerStairModToddlerOnlyUseIfTheyCanWalk it has both files within the zip.

Sorry adding the extra's has made this download a little confusing.


May 3, 2008: Updated the ToddlerStairModToddlerOnlyUseIfTheyCanWalk.zip the previous version tested all Sims ability to walk before they could use the stairs. I had to also as a test to be sure they are toddlers with the ability to walk. Other age Sims are not flagged in the game as having the ability to walk, so they were not able to use the stairs either.

I also had to do the same for the NoEP version...this version does test to make sure the toddlers can walk before the use the steps.

May 2, 2008: Added no ep version if you don't have Open for Business or higher please download the NoEP versions.

May 1, 2008 : Added version that tests to make sure toddlers have the ability to walk. If toddlers don't have the ability to walk the can't use the stairs. The zip file contains both stair types and file names are the same as my first version. Please only choose this or the other 2. If you've already installed the first version please overwrite those files.

I know lots of people have asked for this mod, for a very long time, and I finally got around to creating it.

There is a mod for regular and modular stairs. You really should download both.

When adding a new hack,I highly recommend that you check for conflicts with the Sims 2 Hack Conflict Detection Utility found Here under Sims 2 - Programs.


This has been tested with some EP's installed but I can not guarantee it will work with base game. If anyone could test with the base game and report back I'd really appreciate it.

I did test this with Life Stories and it works fine, so it should work with the base game.
