Craftmeister double bed, texture borrowing and Pets enabled

No EP required for the regular version. Pets version requires Pets.



This is a double version of the Craftmeister single bed; the mesh is by Fresh-Prince (thank you very much for letting me use it), I only re-cloned and edited it. I love the mesh, but F-Ps version had its own recolours and I don't want to burden my weak old computer with more textures than absolutely needed .. so I made a new one that pulls the textures directly from the single bed. It will match 100% and also pick up any recolours you may have for the single version (pictured in the screenshots is a Maxis texture (above) and one by PiggiSims). Fortunately the texture is being stretched in the direction of the wood grain, so you can't really see that it's stretched at all.

I've also edited the shadows a little: the headboard shadow now matches the shape of the headboard (I never get those shadows to show up when I need them -- it's only visible on the playtesting screenshot below).

I playtested the base game version in Base and Base+NL, everything worked nicely. The Pets version is untested since I don't have Pets installed. Please do let me know if you find any issues with this -- this is the first time I'm editing an object, and even though the tutorials I've used appear to be thoroughly foolproof, there's always a chance that something didn't turn out quite right.

You can do what you want with this, but please ask Fresh-Prince if you want to recycle the mesh. Please link back to this thread when reuploading. Please respect that I don't do requests.


In-game stats:
The bed costs 400§ in-game (so that it appears next to its single equivalent in the catalogue) and has a comfort/energy rating of 1/2 just like the cheapest Maxian double bed. I'm not gonna make a cheaty version -- I need 8 hours of sleep in order to function, and so should my sims.

Compatibility:
This will not override Fresh-Prince's bed. The Pets version has the same GUIDs as the regular one, so choose one or the other (I guess you will either have Pets or not have it, but not both). Non-pets users, please download the regular version, the Pets one will not work for you. I did the Pets thing with the "Pets CC Updater" from DJsSims, I hope it works for you -- let me know if it doesn't and I'll see what I can do to fix it.

Polygon Counts:
1.588 faces, 1.038 vertices (just like F-Ps version)
