I can't believe I actually did it...I built a house with boolpropped walls. I was left alone in a waiting room too long and I found this picture in a magazine and began to think about how I would build it in Sims 2.
Of course then I had to build it when I got home.
(Yes, I ripped the page out and swiped it.)
It turned into a nice little one-bedroom modern. The original is by Marcel Breuer, a well-known architect of the last century, active from the 30's to the 70's. It is located in Litchfield, Connecticut. And that's as far as I got because I was having too much fun building and having a nice change from those humongous Willow River lots.
In the front of the house, the shortened wall is the first layer to get the look of the windows. In the back of the house, the short wall is on top so I could put in the doors and have a decent line of site. I normally don't like using the CFE cheat because of the funny bump it puts in the camera tracking but this lot plays pretty well from the back, just a little scrolling to swing past the perpendicular walls.
You will have to have a decent knowledge of "Constrain Floor Elevation" to edit this house because if you just start unzipping walls, the whole house will unfurl.
Custom Content Shown But Not Included:
I furnished this house using the entire 4eversimfantasy Living9 set which you can get here.
I also used the 4esf Kitchen3 SmallPlant here,
the Cottage1 Fern here,
and The Architect's Office Easel by Sandy @ AroundTheSims2 here .
If you prefer not to download from 4esf and ATS, try the MediumCC version in which I replaced all the custom furniture and lighting with Maxis.
If you are on a strict CC budget, try the LiteCC version in which I also replaced the landscaping and most of the build items with Maxis. You will only get the two windows.

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

About Me
My lots are built to be functional in-game.
My lots are built to be played in cut-away view.
While building my lots, I aim for a clean, crisp appearance while maintaining visual interest and good sight lines.
No filters, no photo actions. What you see is what you get.
I can do Maxis-match but I usually prefer to recreate something in real life.
Which is weird because I generally avoid English and RL images in Sim clothing and decor.
I had a lot more verbiage describing my philosophy of Sim-architecture and ended up sounding absolutely insufferable so to paraphrase Coco Chanel:
before leaving the house, a lady should look at the accessories and remove one mirror.
No restrictions on TOU. If you claim my stuff as your own or try to monetize it, you have bigger problems than I do.
