Updated: 13th Jan 2018 at 11:16 AM - 4 January 2015: Fixed children's version added
UPDATE, 4 JANUARY 2015: A flaw in the texture of the children's glasses was discovered by blakegriplingph, who has now fixed it and given me a copy to upload. If you've experienced a problem with the texture on those glasses, please re-download - make sure you're using the version with 'Fixed' at the end of the package name, dated January 4 2015.
UPDATE, 10 OCTOBER 2011: Children's version added thanks to blakegriplingph who kindly converted them! See new screenshot taken by blakegriplingph, the fourth pic below. Get them from the Downloads tab.
Like probably most Sims players, I was surprised to see that TS3 came with no round glasses. How were we supposed to have Harry Potters, old-school nerds, hippies, mad scientists and other classic round-glasses-wearing types without them?
So, here are some round glasses. They are for men and women, all ages from Teen to Elder. They're recolourable and patternable, fronts and sides either together or separately.
For a look in-game, we have Mrs Crumplebottom looking fetching in flame-painted specs, and a typical mad scientist type:
Gunther Goth goes for sombre gothic black, and Arwen favours a green leafy look.
(Arwen's lovely LOTR dress by vectorlover, here: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=365587)
New children's version, converted by blakegriplingph:
There is one very small issue, and this may be why EA didn't supply round glasses for TS3: If your sim has an unusually narrow face or an unusually wide face, the shape of the lenses will deform slightly, becoming narrower with the very narrow face or wider with the very wide face. As long as your sim has a reasonably medium-width face, they'll be fine.
If you want SMALL round glasses (and/or small round sunglasses too), take a look here: http://www.modthesims.info/d/443662 .
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
Unzip the .zip file, and copy the .package file to your Mods\Packages folder. You only need the one file for both men and women, as it is enabled for both.
If you don't have a Mods\Packages folder and/or don't know how to install .package files, please see full instructions here: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...g_Package_Files
Thank you for looking and I hope you'll find these useful!
Polygon Counts:
Frames: 676
Lenses: 176
Made with the CTU: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=364926, with utmost thanks again to Delphy both for the CTU and for discovering how we can import lenses using it.

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.
MTS has all free content, all the time. Donate to help keep it running.

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.
For Package files:
1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
For Sims3Pack files:
1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
