Been a while simmers! Hope everyone's enjoyed the expansion packs and what they had to offer! I myself have been busy playing World Adventures and haven't really invested the time in creating a new shareable house, but that's being remedied as I type. I give to you my latest brainchild.

Brief:
Remaining faithful to the concept of designing family homes on a relatively small lot, while injecting realistic quality design structurally, internally, and landscape-wise. The implementation of new basement feature available with recent patches, as well as new design elements packaged with the World Adventures expansion pack.

Demographic:
Because of the hefty price-tag, the house is best suited for an upper middle class family of up to five or six members (possible slight refurnishing to accommodate the latter).

Real Estate Information:
Lot Size: 30 x 20
Price (U): §124,154
Price (F): §264,339

There's nothing like relaxing to the gentle warmth and crackle of a wood burning fire, whether your sims enjoy lazing away the afternoon on a comfortable recliner, or need a quiet place to get their work done.

The dining room, accessible from the kitchen, borrows a slice of the warmth and prestige offered by Oriental design, complete with tatami floors, traditional wall paneling and furniture.

The second bedroom on the first floor of the house is a shared space designed for two, and yet despite the shared characteristic of the room, partitions are cleverly designed to create a measure of privacy between potential occupants. Cool aqua and glossy black offer the neutrality of neither being too feminine, nor too masculine, making the room suitable for both sexes.

Should a bathroom have the potential to offer a sim a luscious hot soak in a bubble bath? Or a cool and refreshing quick shower? Why pick one when it can easily be both? The family bathroom on the second floor is equipped with both a tub and a shower, with all the required facilities for primping and personal hygiene.

Custom/Downloaded Content:
You must have World Adventures to play this house for furniture item reasons. Apart from the aforementioned, I'm quite certain that I purposefully didn't use any external custom content than what is available in the base game and the expansion.

Additional Comments:
I realize that this house's basic design seems simple enough, as far as the actual building goes, let me tell you... It wasn't. I spent a day getting the floor plans the way I wanted them, then I spent a further two days on the interior design. It was a ginormous labour of love, and when I was finished I wept tears of joy... Well okay maybe not, but I was extremely happy to have finally finished this monstrous project.

Special Notices:
1) PLANTS! LOTS OF THEM!
2) As this house was designed for World Adventures, there are several display cases dotting the house, the most being in the family or TV room (marked as lounge in the ground floor plan). There is also a giant display case (you know, the special one, I cannot reveal more for fear of spoiling) in the basement, for all your ehem adventuring needs.
3) I haven't play tested the wine cellar for placement of a nectar making machine, however if you face any problems, a bit of rearranging should accommodate the machine and the racks easily. Or, if you don't plan on having a bunch of nectar freaks living in the house, the extra room could be anything you want it to be!
