The friars both treat the sick and teach those kids fortunate enough to go to school. They also have a wonderful herb garden, orchard and wine yard to tend and, of course, a brewery.
I have tried to create something that resembles a cloister herb garden, while lacking many of the needed plants. I was in two minds about adding vegatble plants, but in the end decided against it. There're a few spawners here and there - because what is a flowery garden without butterfiles, or a well without frogs. The building is loosely based on traditional Danish monestaries.
The brothers don't have a chapel on the grounds, so it's a good idea to place the lot next to a graveyard with a chapel on it so that they can still go to mass. The garden has it's quiet spots for thoughtful mediation, though.
This community lot has been created as a replacement for two EA rabbitholes. The hospital and the school are concealed in the basement level of the lot and are, of course, still accessible and functional. The main building is an empty shell, while the two smaller buildings contain a wash room and a brewery with a bar.
The lot has been tested in my game and works fine.

Thanks to Karin for sharing the idea of concealing rabbitholes in the basement to avoid use of cc. And to Sandy for inspiring me to find alternatives to the red EA chimneys.

7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Welcome here
I've moved on to TS3 and I love playing and building with it. I've never been able to resist cc before, but this time round I'm really striving to make lots cc free unless absolutely necessary.
My aim is always to create lots that stand out, either in style or theme. I don't have a preferred style but thrive on variety. Nature, Scandinavia, modernist (and contemporary) architecture, the makeshift, vivid colours, and interesting cc are some of my inspirations when creating lots.
If you like my lots have a look at smmishing.wordpress.com, my blog where I also share some lots.
I hope you like my creations. Don't claim them as your own and do not repost my lots anywhere else. You may use my cc freely in your own lots as long as you give credit and let it remain free. Also, no TSR!
As a rule of thumb, I don't take requests, simply because I dislike building slavishly after floor plans.
