As the canal nears the city center, residential buildings appear at its side. Some of the more popular are the old art deco houses. Their clean lines make them suitable both for lovers of early 20th century styles as well as those prefering more contemporary looks.

Werknotham house contains two apartments, each spanding three floors. Both apartments contain:
- kitchen with dining area
- living and office space
- 2 bedrooms
- 3 bathrooms

One apartment, while gently renovated, still seeks to emulate the original style.


The other apartment has a more contemporary look.


The backyard is the perfect spot to play, barbercue and relax while the canal flows by.
