Once again captive to build contests, I present this house for you. Jones had put together a contest that involves redecorating existing Maxis ugly houses for use by 1 of 4 families. The houses are not given in advance, so you just have to make your best guess with each one. This house was for the application stage, so no family bio was provided, but its set up for a family of three. The cozy woodland cottage deco is suitable for a vacation home or can be used in your main neighborhood of course.

We were not allowed to use many of the Build Mode tools such as moving doors, windows or stairs, or adding or removing walls. Each house has a budget and we were given feedback on how we did. Because the budgets and tool restrictions are supposed to be limiting, and there are no such restrictions on uploads, I went back to each house afterwards to address the judges comments while disregarding these constraints. You can see the first version of the house here, and the main insight from the judges was that the little toilet paper gnome lady was super creepy. As you can see in this version, she has retired. I also did more work in the kitchen (it was judged to be boring or empty) and did much more work on the landscaping. I also added a driveway. I do apologize for the large amount of CC in this house, I had not originally planned on uploading it.

I really like the living room/kitchen area, but I think the kids room is my favorite. It's set up for a young car fanatic.
