This is a little wall holder for sim-painted paintings that can be used to lean paintings to the wall pretty much anywhere. It comes in three variants for the small, medium and large paintings from the base game (since the paintings need to be mounted closer or further from the wall depending on their height, so that the top touches the wall exactly).
Update 2016-03-10: Seems like the issue with paintings not being placeable ("Can't Intersect Other Objects" error) is fixed; please redownload!
The objects act similar to a wall shelf; they can intersect with the floor and with other objects. The paintings cannot, though; so in order to make them sit on a shelf or table, one needs to turn on bb.moveobjects. Paintings remain fully interactable when they are mounted and can be moved on/off the holder in Live Mode as well.
Note that the various Maxis surfaces don’t always have the exact same height; one will sometimes need hold alt and move the painting holder a litte up/down to account for that.
The painting holders are in Surfaces > Displays and cost 10§/15§/20§ respectively. One colour option each which is referenced from the “Raw” wall shelf.
Known issues:
* When a painting is placed onto the holder and then the lot/room/house is rotated in Build Mode, the painting will diappear. This is an issue inherited from the Maxis easel (they're going to look at it but before they haven't fixed it I doubt that I can do anything about it).
* Note that this is for residential lots; on GtW retail lots, paintings apparently behave differently so this doesn’t work on those. Thanks Emeldir for the heads-up!
* Some users with various EPs reported in the comments that they get a "Can't Intersect Object" message when trying to use these -- I cannot reproduce this. Please be aware that I made this for the base game paintings -- I have seen that Outdoor Retreat introduced other paintings but I have no idea how they work. -- These were probably wrong conclusions: whether or not the previous version worked depended on the rotation of the object vs the painting; should be worth checking again whether or not retail lots are actually an issue at all.
Polygon Counts:
High Poly: 144V/120F
Mid Poly: 104V/80F
Sun Shadow: 48V/76F
TSRW/Milkshape, s4pe. Many thanks to SGMS for figuring out the rotation issue!

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.
